Tiny bird, tiny painting.
There's something about a nuthatch — the way it moves through the world headfirst, completely unbothered, doing its own thing on its own terms. This little guy is a regular in my backyard, and I finally got him down on paper in watercolor, ink, and Derwent Inktense pencils on textured watercolor paper.
