About the Artist

Hi, I’m Carrie—a nature lover, bird nerd, and artist living in Washington State, surrounded by the mossy magic of the Pacific Northwest.

I’ve always loved creating, but in 2020, during the pandemic, I started a daily art practice that reconnected me with the joy of making. For a long time, I was intimidated by watercolor. It felt unpredictable and hard to control—but I decided to lean into that fear and challenge myself to work with it anyway. The more I used it, the more I fell in love with its wild, fluid nature.

As a busy mom, watercolor became the perfect medium—easy to pick up, easy to set aside, and forgiving in its own beautifully chaotic way. It’s now the heart of my creative process, and the thing I return to again and again.

My work is inspired by the natural world, especially the creatures that inhabit it. I’m endlessly fascinated by their personalities and the stories they seem to carry. I’m also drawn to the quiet details of the forest: tangled ferns, vibrant mushrooms, fields of flowers. And now and then, a pop culture spark sneaks into the mix.

My shop is where the whimsically wild go to become prints, stickers, cards, and original art for kindred spirits who find joy in the quirky and colorful. I teach watercolor classes, and love connecting with other creatives through art challenges and community.

The Process

Community & Events

I paint with watercolor and ink on high-quality paper, but I also love using watercolor pencils, tinted graphite, and the occasional bit of acrylic or colored pencil. Every piece is layered with color, whimsy, and curiosity. I often let my subjects guide me, whether it's a fish on a bicycle or a frog with something to say.

When I’m not making art, I love connecting with my local creative community. I regularly teach watercolor classes designed to be fun, approachable, and inspiring—perfect for beginners or anyone looking to play with color and let go of perfection.

You can also find me vending at local makers markets and community art events throughout the year. I love meeting people face-to-face and sharing the stories behind my work.

Whether you’re here to browse, collect, or get a little inspired, I’m so glad you’re visiting. Let’s stay in touch!
